November TBR ft Tome Topple TBR

Helloou my fellow bookaholics ๐Ÿ’•

Sorry about missing last Sunday’s blog post, I was traipsing around Scottish castles and hiking snow-capped mountains ๐Ÿ˜ Have a cheeky picture from the top of a Munro:

But, today I’m not supposed to be here sharing a bunch of mountain shots, but rather my November TBR ๐Ÿคฉ If you have read any of my previous TBRs then you know that I love making them and I’m terrible at sticking to them. I’m staying on brand and I’ve very ambitious plans for November even though I haven’t been reading as much as I usually do within the past couple of months.

Tome Topple TBR

One reason why this November TBR is so ambitious to me, is because of the Tome Topple Readathon! Tome Topple is all about reading massive, intimidating books and it is hosted by Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes, Adriana @ Perpetual Pages, Sarah-Jane @ The Book Life, Sian @ Reader’s Rambles, Caz @ The Little Book Owl, Sam @ Will Read 4 Booze, and Joce @ Yogi With a Book. It runs from the 9th of November to the 22nd of November. I love this readathon so much because it really motivates me to pick up some tomes but also the hosts run a lot of amazing reading sprints!

Tome Topple has 5 reading challenges but I don’t think I can complete them as I don’t think I’ll be able to finish either of these books during the 2 weeks of Tome Topple.

Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson

1087 pages

Adult, Fantasy

Reading challenges it would complete:

  • Read a tome that is part of a series
  • Read an adult novel

I’m so fricking excited to finally devour this beauty! I loved The Way of Kings so much!

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara (the Finnish edition)

939 pages

Adult, literary fiction

Reading challenges it would complete:

  • Read more than 1 tome
  • Read the tome that has been on your TBR the longest
  • Read a tome in a genre you donโ€™t usually read

My Finnish edition of A Little Life is massive! I have heard that this one will break my heart entirely, yikes.

General November TBR

Fate of The Fallen by Kel Kade

400 pages

Adult, Fantasy

ARC copy, ebook

I have just started this and I’m so excited to continue on! I was lucky enough to get an advance reader copy from the publisher and so far it is amaaaziing.

The Equality Illusion: The Truth About Women and Men Today by Kat Banyard

320 pages

Non-fiction, Feminism

I’m nearly finished with this one! It is an amazing book but extremely heavy to read so I have taken awhile to get through it.

The Wicked King by Holly Black

336 pages

YA, Fantasy

I have been thinking about this more and more lately and can’t wait to continue on with this series. Also, the third book in the series, Queen of Nothing, will be published in November!

Tadah, here’s my November TBR! I have very little hope to finish all of these, but I’ll certainly try my hardest.

What are you planning to read in November? Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts? I would love to know!

Thank you so much for reading!
